Power was restored to all areas affected by a blackout hit Oman's capital Muscat, Omani Authority of Public Services Regulation said early on Tuesday in a statement.
"The Authority has initiated an investigation to find out the reasons that led to this blackout and to avoid similar occurrences in the future," the authority added. Muscat was hit by a power blackout on Monday, among other provinces in the Gulf Arab nation, impacting energy, telecommunications and aviation sectors.

    Further details :

Oman suffered a major power outage on 5 September, with blackouts across much of the sultanate’s north, including the capital Muscat. Power was restored later that day. Officials have attributed the issue to a fault with the country’s transmission network, and an investigation is underway to determine the precise cause.

Mansour bin Talib al-Hinai, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) visited a 400/220kv grid transformer at Ibri as part of the investigation.
